FAQ

How do I get started?

Call us today at 1 (855) SSH-CURE, and we’ll help set you up. When you schedule your first appointment, we will find out what insurance benefits are available to you through your insurance company or employer. After your initial assessment, your therapist will be able to estimate the frequency and duration of required treatment.

How long is each appointment? How often will I need to attend therapy?

The average treatment session is approximately one hour. This may vary based on your individual needs. Most patients are treated two to three times per week. The total duration of treatments will depend on the severity of your injury/dysfunction.

Are treatments covered by insurance?

Physiotherapy and chiropractic care are essential components to health and wellness. Each insurance plan is different, however the majority of benefit plans cover these treatments. Sharp Shapes Health can help you understand your coverage.

Do I need a referral from a doctor for Physiotherapy or Chiropractic Care?

Physiotherapists and Chiropractors are primary health care professionals (just like doctors and dentists), meaning you can go directly to a Physiotherapist or Chiropractor without a doctor’s referral. However, insurance companies may require a doctor’s referral before they will reimburse costs.

Can I go back to work after my appointment?

Yes. Our goal is to provide an effective treatment that will allow you to resume all aspects of your daily routines, including returning to work.

What should I wear to my appointments?

Athletic wear, or loose, comfortable clothes are strongly recommended. Gym or walking shoes are a requirement. Patients are discouraged from wearing one-piece spandex-type clothing that restricts access to injured areas.

How do I pay for my treatments?

We accept Debit, Visa, MasterCard, Cash, and Personal cheques (with a valid ID). Payment is required at time of treatment, and the necessary receipts will be provided to you to submit to your insurance company.
